최근에는 여러 가지 문제 때문에 무료 어플에 대한 글은 올리지 않고 있다. 대신에 추천 어플이나 예상하지 못한 좋은 어플이 올라오면 그때 그때 소개하고 있다. 어제도 다른 날과 다름없이 유료에서 무료로 바뀐 어플을 확인하던 중 조금 의외의 어플을 발견했다. 바로 Grammar in Use로 유명한 캠브리지 대학교의 어플이 무료로 풀렸기 때문이다. Grammar in Use 시리즈 3종의 가격이 20불이고 Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary가 16불이기 때문에 할인가만 따져도 36불에 해당된다.
오늘 어제 받지 못한 Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary를 받다 보니 재미있는 문구가 보였다. 바로 "FREE today and only 59p from tomorrow until ROYAL WEDDING DAY 29 April."라는 문구였다. 즉, 이렇게 유명한 어플이 무료로 풀린 것은 오는 4월 29일 혼례식을 올리는 윌리엄 영국 왕자 때문으로 보인다. 모두 영어 어플이기는 하지만 상당히 좋은 어플들이 무료로 풀렸기 때문에 블로그 방문자를 위해 따로 소개한다. 트위터로는 이미 소개한 상태다.
