Opera 공개로 전환 by 도아
얼마전 Opera 출시 10주념 기념으로 Opera의 정품 라이선스를 무료로 나누어 주었다(참조: lunamoth님 블로그). 단 하루의 행사였고, 이 라이선스를 받지 못해 못내 아쉬워하는 사람들이 많았다.
이 정품 라이선스 배포의 영향인지 홈 페이지나 블로그의 상위 브로우저를 보면 Opera가 항상 5위권 안에 들어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 혹시 새버전이 출시됐나싶어 오페라의 홈페이지를 방문했다가 Opera가 공개로 전환된 것을 알았다.
오페라의 홈페이지에 접속하면 바로 fell free. No ads. Better browsing. Opera removes integrated ad banners라는 광고가 나타난다.
사실 IE의 독주와 Firefox의 선전속에서 Opera 역시 생존을 위한 새로운 투쟁을 시작한 것처럼 보인다. 다음은 Why free 페이지의 내용이다.
