오늘은 소개할 무료 어플이 조금 많다. 무려 15개나 된다. 게임이 4개, 교육이 5개, 기타 6개이다. 먼저 Quick Grenade는 15세 개발자가 개발한 것이라고 한다. 예전에도 Air Horn이라는 게임을 15세 개발자가 개발했다고 했었는데 같은 개발자가 개발한 것으로 보인다. 평상시 1불에 판매되는 어플로 오늘 하루만 1불에 판매한다. 그러나 정확히 어떤 게임인지는 나도 모른다.

Day of Death는 평상시에는 1불에 판매되는 어플로 제한된 시간 동안 무료로 제공된다. 죽을 날을 계산하는 어플이라고 하는데 정확히 어떤 어플인지는 나 역시 모른다. 또 이름이 조금 섬찟하기 때문에 그리 달가운 어플은 아니다. American Quiz는 한 주 동안 무료로 제공되는 어플이다. 4가지 퀴즈 타입을 가지고 있으며 미국에 대한 정보를 알고 있어야 풀 수 있는 퀴즈가 제공된다.

Port Defender도 평상시에 1불에 판매되는 어플이며 오는 수요일까지만 무료로 제공된다. 그림과 설명을 보면 타워를 지키는 전략 게임으로 보인다. Round Timer는 무료 어플로는 잘 올라오지 않는 건강에 관련된 어플이다. 다만 앱 스토아를 보면 의외로 이런 류의 어플이 많이 보인다. 이 어플은 설명에서 알 수 있듯이 아주 짧은 시간 동안만 무료로 제공한다고 한다.

iYodl는 9월 말까지만 무료로 제공되는 어플이다. 어떤 어플 인지는 직접 확인하기 바란다. Pocket F1™은 제한된 시간 동안 무료레 제공되는 어플이다. F1에 대한 일정과 뉴스와 같은 정보를 제공하는 어플이다. GlossyTouch는 전통적인 메모리 게임이다. 평상시 1불에 판매되며 트위터에서 개발사를 팔로하면 무료 코드를 발급해 준다고 한다.

Each map does not have its own wave set yet. Currently there are 2 different wave sets, common and random. In future versions each map will receive its own wave set that matches the theme, but until update 1.1.0 each map has the same waves. The map names are a bit weird, but "city" is in a city, "farm" is a farm, "wiggle" is a wiggly path; don't think too much into map names it.

Story:
You have just bought "Port Defender", a cheap firewall for your local network. During setup the definition files were erased leaving your network vulnerable. In order to protect your network simulated attacks are played. As attacks execute the firewall learns new rules for defending your local network. The attacks are simulated in a virtual environment where infections are represented as creeps and towers through attacks slowly break down their internal code searching for a signature. When a creep's internal signature is found it is removed from the field. If a creep makes it off the simulated area it represents a malicious program breaking through your firewall. If too many creeps escape the simulated local area network crashes.

This application is different than your standard round timer because it also integrates with your ipod music. Turn on shuffling mode and it will shuffle songs at the beginning of each round. Also, you can set it to have silence during rest periods if you'd like.

There are also options to pause music during rest intervals and to start each song from a random point so if the opening of the song is slow, it will jump right into it. While in shuffle mode, simply shake the iphone hard twice to have it skip to the next song.

Set custom round intervals:

• any number of rounds
• round time
• rest time (optional)
• warning time (optional)
• delayed start (optional)

Standard round timer sounds will sound at the beginning, warning and end of rounds. Timer sounds can be turned on or off as desired.

Also the background will change to red, yellow or green depending on the round status (rest, warning, or in round). The application will not sleep while it is running, so this will be visible at all times.

If you need to take a call or close the application, all your settings and the current status of your rounds will be saved so you can jump right back into it where you left off.

You use music with this app through one of the following methods:

1- Play music on your iPod before running the app. Then turn shuffling mode on, and the timer will simply shuffle songs through whatever playlist you were playing through the ipod.

2- Play music on your iPod before running the app. Then leave shuffling mode off. The timer will work as you would expect and simply play music in the background uninterrupted. If you want, you can still have the app turn the music off during resting periods.

3- If you do not have music playing when you start the round timer and you are in shuffling mode, the application will just shuffle through your entire iPod library.
