트위터에 올린 트윗처럼 어제는 오늘만 무료 어플을 올리지 못했다. 전날 한지수 모임에 참석하고 새벽 5~6시까지 술을 마셨다. 그리고 새벽에 고속버스를 타고 충주에 복귀했다. 그러나 오늘만 무료 어플을 올리지 못한 것은 이런 일정 때문이 아니었다. 지난 글에도 있지만 미국쪽은 휴가를 떠난 듯 무료 어플이 하나도 올라오지 않았기 때문이다.

트위터(Twitter)에 올라온 트윗에 따르면 이전에 소개한 초성변환 어플이 판올림됐다고 한다. 단순히 초성만으로 검색하는 것이 아니라 이제는 '전화번호 뒷자리로도 검색할 수 있도록 했다'고 한다. 그런데 애플 직원들이 모두 휴가를 떠난 덕에 이런 "판올림 사실이 앱 스토어(App Store)에는 반영되지 않았다"고 한다. 따라서 내년까지는 무료 어플이 올라올 가능성이 적다. 그러므로 오늘만 무료 어플에 대한 글이 없어도 실망하지 말가 바란다.

오늘은 총 5개의 어플을 소개하겠다. 먼저 Bump는 오늘만 무료인 어플은 아니다. 평상시도 무료인 어플이다. 앞에서 설명한 것처럼 지난 일요일에는 여의도에서 있었던 '힘내라 한지수! 번개'가 있었다. 이 번개에는 번개를 주도한 독설(@dogsul)님을 비롯 상당히 많은 사람들이 참석했다. 재미있지만 이 자리는 신기할 정도로 아이폰 사용자가 많았다. 또 정동영 의원(@coreacdy)님도 참석했는데 정동영 의원님 역시 아이폰 사용자였다.

이 자리에서는 자연스레 아이폰에 대한 이야기가 많이 나왔다. 여기서 종래(@kimjongrae)님이 정동영 의원님께 소개한 어플이 Bump이다. Bump는 명함 교환 어플이다. 먼저 사용자가 자신의 명함을 만저 만들어 둔다. 그리고 명함을 교환할 필요성이 있으면 서로 Bump를 실행한다. 마지막으로 아이폰을 손으로 들고 서로 부딪히면 Bump에 저장된 명함이 서로 교환된다. 아이폰을 들고 건배하듯 부딪히면 되기 때문에 이 어플 역시 사람들의 감성을 자극한 아이디어가 뛰어난 어플이다.

FallBall은 간단한 게임 어플이다. 이름에서 알 수 있듯이 공을 장애물을 피해 아래로 떨어트리는 간단한 게임이다. 평상시 1불에 판매된다. FocusCube는 위에서 떨어진 블럭을 움직여 구멍으로 떨어트리는 간단한 게임 어플이다. 역시 평상시 1불에 판매된다. Project 365는 달력 어플이다. 일반 달력처럼 내용만 기록하는 것이 아니라 사진을 찍어 일정을 기록할 수 있는 달력이다. 역시 평상시 1불에 판매된다. 여행을 자주 다니는 사람이 매일 사진을 찍어 둔다면 훌륭한 여행 기록물이 될 수도 있을 듯하다.

ElfVoice는 평상시 1불, 제한된 시간 동안 무료로 제공되는 어플이다. 목소리를 녹음하면 이 목소리를 산타의 목소리로 바꿔 준다. 다만 다른 산타 목소리는 2불에 구매해야 한다. 따라서 무료로 되어있지만 정확히 무료로 보기는 힘든 어플이다. 무료 어플에 대한 소식과 다른 재미있는 소식을 조금 더 빨리 알고 싶다면 트위터 가이드를 읽고 팔로하기 바란다. 트위터로는 글을 통해 소개하기 힘든 100명 한정, 한시간만 무료와 같을 어플에 대한 소식, 오늘만 무료 어플을 올리지 못하게된 사정등도 올리기 때문이다.

Settings

The following settings can be applied through general app settings:

• Input voice type (Male / Female / Kid )
• Render background sound ( yes /no )

How to use

1. Change values in the app prefs if needed(default input-voice=male, background sound=yes)
2. Push record button.
3. Talk into mic on bottom of iphone, see vu-meter for correct input level
4. Push stop button. App will convert recording to xmas voice
5. After coversion is done (progress indicator = 100%) push play button.
6. Converted recording is played.
7. Have fun!
